Look fly like a birdie

My good friend (expecting friend yay!!) Heather, was wondering where to find feather earrings. This has been such a hot trend lately from feather earrings, metal feather earrings, and feather hair extensions. They are very beautiful with different colors and textures. You can choose big, long, or small there are so many styles out there. I put together a board of feather earrings all under $50. Some are under $5!

Seen here on Vanessa Hudgens

Feather Extensions are hot right now. Last anywhere from two weeks to two months.

And then there is little ol' me this past July in Miami. I found these at F21 last spring.

What Im Loving Right Now

I have been having a wonderful Wednesday and I hope y'all are too! Its getting really hot here in South Florida, which has its pros and cons. I get to wear cute dresses, wedges, and swimsuits, while most people are still wearing boots and jackets (which I really never got to wear anyway), but I have to deal with the humidity, ughh. I started a new exciting part time job, that is exhausting but very rewarding. I am working on getting my blog(s) going. So I have been pretty busy, I guess. But here is what I'm loving right now.

It's Britney Bitch!
I went and picked up Ms. Britney Spears' new CD Femme Fatale and I am in LOVE. This is her best album yet! I love the whole thing but my favorite tracks are Till The World Ends, Big Fat Bass, He About To Lose Me, and How I roll just to name a few. Its a feel good, sunroof open, blast and dance in your car kind of album. I could dance and listen to it all day. Make sure you get the deluxe one because it comes with 16 tracks. I'm so happy for her!

Nexxus Pro-Mend Split End BindingI have split ends, and I am not ashamed! Mainly thanks to Nexxus Pro-Mend Split End Binding. I had a coupon for $2 off and had seen this in Glamour Magazine so I figured I would give it a shot. Why not? Well it is amazing. It smells amazing and makes my hair feel soft, not brittle and rough. I already see a difference after using it twice. You only need to use like a nickel-sized amount and run it through the ends of damp hair. It will make your roots flat and greasy feeling, so just keep it on your ends. Dry and style as usual. This is the first product line to focus on mending and repairing split ends. I found this at Target for around $9.

Goldielockes Designs
My friend Sarah Fredricks, owner of Goldielockes Designs, makes the most amazing handmade jewelry. I recently bought Sun & Sand. They are light, delicate, and the perfect touch of beachiness. Think hippie, sun, sand, and tranquility. I am obsessed. There are so many pieces I want. Next I plan to purchase Angel Wings and a Ringlette. Check out her jewelry line through Etsy here. And also become a fan of her Facebook page here. She even has the cutest packaging.

Dressing to the MAXi

I love Maxi Dresses. Its so easy to just throw one on and go. You can run errands, grab lunch with girlfriends, shop, or dress one up for a date. I love 'em. I also love the new trend, Maxi Skirts. Skirts are so fun short or long. My perfect casual outfit is a tee or tank with a maxi skirt, sandals, and a fun piece of jewelry. You cant go wrong with a pattern or a solid. Here are some of my favorites and the best thing about them all!?! They're all under $100. Lets face it, with prices going up on EVERYTHING we are all on a budget!

What I'm Reading: Water For Elephants

I just started reading Water For Elephants and I can't put it down.
The book is set in the circus world circa 1932. When Jacob Jankowski, recently orphaned and suddenly adrift, jumps onto a passing train, he enters a world of freaks, grifters, and misfits, a second-rate circus struggling to survive during the Great Depression, making one-night stands in town after endless town. A veterinary student who almost earned his degree, Jacob is put in charge of caring for the circus menagerie. It is there that he meets Marlena, the beautiful young star of the equestrian act, who is married to August, the charismatic but twisted animal trainer. He also meets Rosie, an elephant who seems untrainable until he discovers a way to reach her.

"Water for Elephants is illuminated by a wonderful sense of time and place. It tells a story of a love between two people that overcomes incredible odds in a world in which even love is a luxury that few can afford."

The best part is it has been made into a movie starring one of my favorite actresses, Mrs. Reese Witherspoon. It's also starring Robert Pattinson, who I'm not to crazy about so hopefully he plays this part well and convinces me to love him. The movie hits theatres April 22nd so hurry up and grab a copy of the book. Just watching the movie trailer give me goose bumps...

Product Review: Neutrogena Body Oil

Its beginning to look a lot like SUMMER! To stay moisturized without the thickness of most body lotions I love to use Neutrogena Body Oil. It's a delicately light sesame formula that instantly vanishes into the skin, sealing in moisture. Skin feels moisturized, soft, silky and looks radiant.
You can put some into your bath water to soften skin, use it in the shower (but I find it to be too slippery to do that) Or y'all can be like moi and put it on damp skin after you shower or bathe. I love this stuff and don't go a day without it! Use lotion afterwards for extra moisture, but I live in a humid climate, so I have enough moisture! I prefer the unscented formula because I wear perfumes etc and I don't want them competing.
Another tip is to add some loose shimmer into a quarter size amount and smooth all over for an amazing glow. I do this on my collar bone, shoulders, and legs whenever I go out. Ooooh La La!
Y'all can find this product just about anywhere (Target, Walmart, Walgreen's, Nordstrom Rack, Rite-Aid etc) It also doesn't have mineral oil which is a plus because that can clog your pores!
