Anything you can wear in your hair is just adorable. These flower pin and clips are so easy and inexpensive to make. I picked up everything from Michaels or Jo~Ann Fabrics for under $3! Here I will show you my version which you can modify by adding more buttons, flowers, fabric, mesh, etc.
Here's what you'll need:
Flowers (same colors, different colors, silk or fabric)
Needle & Matching Thread
Buttons (simple or fun)
Glue Gun
Glue Sticks
Scissors
Pin
Alligator Clip
Felt
Step One:
Clip the plastic center from the pink flower because you only want to use half the flower. Also clip the center of the orange flower off.
Step Two:
Using a needle and some pink thread sew the large button onto the flower, and then the small button on top of the large button.
Step Three:
Using the glue gun, glue the pink flower to the orange flower. You could also sew them together if you wish. And yes I use a paper plate when I'm armed with a glue gun because I can make a mess.
Step Four:
Using the glue gun, glue and alligator clip and pin to the back of the flower (you could just use one, but I like the idea of clipping into my hair or on a headband, or pinning it on a scarf or sweater, etc). Then cut a small piece of felt and place that through the pin and clip and hot glue each side down. This gives it extra security and it won't slip when clipped in your hair.
Step Five:
Wahhhlaaaah! (I think that's how you spell that) Pretty little Flower Pin and Clip. I would model it, but I'm not having the greatest hair day. Instead, once this reaches my cousin's little girl Kayleigh, I'll make sure to get a photo and post it!
